Water Well Donated to Goodness Omogo Leadership Academy Ntezi in Memory of Kim Kessenich

As Goodness Omogo Leadership Academy, Ntezi, intensifies preparations for its official opening in September 2026, the institution has recorded another remarkable milestone with the successful drilling of a modern water well donated by Joe and Cindy Kessenich in loving memory of their beloved daughter, Kim Kessenich.
The humanitarian project, facilitated through the Samuel Omogo Foundation by Rev Fr Peter Omogo, the Water Wells Projects is expected to provide clean and safe drinking water to students, staff, parents, and visitors of the institution.
The borehole is expected to support daily activities within the school, including drinking, sanitation, cooking, cleaning, and other domestic needs necessary for the smooth running of the institution ahead of the commencement of academic activities in September 2026.
Speaking during the presentation and inspection of the project, the Founder of the Samuel Omogo Foundation and Director of the Academy, Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Omogo, expressed profound gratitude to Joe and Cindy Kessenich for their generosity, compassion, and unwavering support toward the development of the academy and the wellbeing of rural communities in Nigeria.
According to Fr. Omogo, the borehole stands not only as a source of clean water but also as a lasting memorial of love, hope, and service in honor of Kim Kessenich. He noted that through this noble gesture, Kim’s memory will continue to touch and bless countless lives for generations to come.
Fr. Omogo emphasized that access to clean drinking water remains one of the major challenges facing many rural communities and institutions in Nigeria. He stated that the donation of the well would greatly benefit the academy community by ensuring a steady supply of clean water for drinking, sanitation, and other daily needs.
He further appreciated the Samuel Omogo Foundation for its continuous humanitarian interventions and the tremendous impact it continues to make through the provision of potable water across rural communities in Nigeria. According to him, the Foundation has remained committed to restoring dignity and improving the quality of life of poor and underserved populations through water projects, educational support, healthcare assistance, and community development initiatives. 
Also speaking during the visit, Rev. Fr. John Odey commended the Samuel Omogo Foundation for its unwavering dedication to improving lives through practical and impactful humanitarian projects. He described the provision of clean water within the school environment as timely and essential for promoting a healthy and conducive atmosphere for learning.
Fr. Odey further noted that the borehole would serve as a lasting source of relief and support to students and staff of the institution as the school prepares to officially commence operations in September.
In her remarks, Dr. Rosemary Igwe, Senior Lecturer and Head of Department, Animal Science Department, Ebonyi State University, appreciated the donor, Joe and Cindy Kessenich, for identifying with the vision of the Samuel Omogo Foundation. She described the intervention as a remarkable act of kindness that would positively impact generations of students who would pass through the academy.
The Principal of the school, Rev. Sr. Dr. Esther Nwobi, equally expressed profound gratitude to the Samuel Omogo Foundation and the donors for the invaluable support given to the institution. She described the borehole as a major milestone in the infrastructural development of the academy and assured that the facility would be properly maintained and effectively utilized for the benefit of the students and the entire school community. 
Fr. Omogo equally appreciated the board members, benefactors, volunteers, and supporters of the Foundation whose sacrifices and generosity continue to make many life-changing projects possible.
The water well project forms part of the numerous developmental efforts being put in place ahead of the anticipated opening of Goodness Omogo Leadership Academy in September 2026. The academy, founded and directed by Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Omogo, is designed to provide holistic education focused on academic excellence, leadership formation, moral upbringing, technology, agriculture, sports, and skill acquisition.
Members of the community, parents, workers, and visitors at the academy expressed joy and gratitude over the successful completion of the project, describing the well as a major blessing that will positively impact the health and wellbeing of everyone associated with the institution.
In his closing remarks, Fr. Omogo prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon Joe and Cindy Kessenich, the Samuel Omogo Foundation, and all supporters of the academy for their generosity, kindness, and commitment to transforming lives through education and humanitarian service.
