They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways”. Friends have come to realize that the words of Sigmund Freud are something to adhere to hence finding different ways of showing appreciation to good deeds received.
Lots of people have not hesitated to join the bandwagon of grateful hearts to express their appreciation to Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter OkwoezeOmogo for his numerous contributions to humanity. Love him or hate him, one thing you can never take from Fr. Peter is that he is the man of the people. Over the years, he has received various awards both in the USA and at his home country Nigeria. The words of the great Calvin Coolidge ring true when we reflect upon the life and contributions of Fr. Peter. Unwaveringly, he has selflessly given his time, money, efforts, and love to better the lives of countless individuals, thereby leaving indelible marks on humanity.
The outpouring of gratitude via award-giving from numerous organizations and groups of people are testament to his immense impact on the lives of people from all walks of life. People have come to realize the significance of Sigmund’s words and have found various ways to show their appreciation to Fr. Peter’s unwavering dedication to humanity in education, health, and pastoral care. Fr. Peter’s contributions to humanity extend far beyond what words can express. His actions have sparked hope, inspired change, and brought solace to those in need. His humility and kindness have left a lasting impact on everyone he encounters, making the world a better place, one life at a time.
His genuine compassion and selflessness have touched the hearts of many, transcending borders and cultures. It is evident in the various awards and titles he has received, both in the United States and Nigeria, that his good works have not gone unnoticed. If the records of awards given by individuals were listed in this book, the record, perhaps, might be bigger than the entire volume of this book. 1. The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International named him a Paul Harris Fellow.
This is the highest award in Rotary International
- The Rotary club of Fremont on 10th of October, 2017 awarded him the best speaker of the year.
- Knights of Columbus Our Lady of White Lake ≠ 12985 awarded him Knight of the month in 11th of July 2023.

Traditional Title
Traditional titles have been an integral part of our cultures throughout history, serving as a means of recognizing individuals for their contributions, character, and roles within their communities. This recognition is aimed to boost an individual’s self-esteem, motivate them to maintain their positive contributions, and inspire others to follow their example. In this way, these titles can promote personal growth and communal progress and strengthen the bonds within a community.
Fr. Peter has been offered recognition and validation having demonstrated excellence, exceptional love, and care within his community and the entire Ebonyi State. This signifies the roles and responsibilities he has played, fostering a sense of unity and shared values. Most of the communities who gave him titles due to economic or social privileges he has given them which was not limited to access to quality water but giving educational resource materials to their children.
